Job summary

Columbia Aged Care is seeking a Care Services Manager to lead the Strathfield facility’s clinical operations, mentoring teams and elevating care standards. You will collaborate with leadership to drive resident outcomes, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a patient-centered culture.

With a strong background in nursing leadership, you will champion quality standards, oversee funding processes, and implement safety and quality initiatives while maintaining open communication with residents

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted nursing registration with AHPRA.
• Minimum 5 years post-graduate nursing experience, with at least 2 years in senior management within aged care.
• Police check and full Australian working rights.
• Tertiary studies/certifications in clinical management, health administration, or clinical leadership preferred.
• Proven knowledge of Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, accreditation quality, compliance and clinical governance.
• Experience leading clinical teams with focus on performance development and accountability.
• Experience implementing WHS and evaluating quality management systems to drive continuous improvement.
• Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills with resident-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach and support Registered Nurses, care staff, and allied health professionals.
• Champion Aged Care Quality Standards, oversee AN-ACC/funding processes and accreditation readiness.

The members of the Board represent several families and the company has been operating aged care facilities for over 50 years. About The Role

Our residents' wellbeing sit at the heart of everything we do. As our Care Services Manager, you will shape the day-to-day clinical operations of our Strathfield facility, fostering an environment where both staff and residents thrive. You will work closely with leadership to elevate care standards, mentor clinical teams, and drive meaningful health outcomes every single day.

What You'll Do

• Drive clinical care excellence: Direct and optimize daily personal and clinical care programs to ensure outstanding resident outcomes in line with national standards.
• Lead and empower care teams: Supervise, coach, and support Registered Nurses, care staff, and allied health professionals to foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.
• Master regulatory & funding compliance: Champion Aged Care Quality Standards, oversee AN-ACC/funding processes, and maintain continuous accreditation readiness.
• Champion continuous improvement: Analyze clinical data and incident trends to implement proactive safety, medication management, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Advocate for residents & families: Act as a key liaison for families and residents, guaranteeing personalized care plans that respect individual rights and choices.

What You Bring

• Current and unrestricted registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• A minimum of 5 years of post-graduate nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a senior management role within aged care.
• Valid National Police Check and full Australian working rights.
• Tertiary studies or certifications in clinical management, health administration, or clinical leadership is highly preferred.
• Proven knowledge and understanding of Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards Accreditation quality, compliance and clinical governance.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing clinical teams, with a focus on performance development and accountability.
• Proven ability to implement Work Health & Safety (WHS) and evaluate quality management systems and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with a resident-first approach to care.
