Randstad is seeking an ethical clinical leader to act as Second-in-Command in a Residential Aged Care setting. You will oversee governance, champion quality outcomes, and mentor nursing staff to sustain high clinical practice.

You will guide clinical operations, budget planning, reporting, and continuous improvement while developing the next generation of care professionals. This role demands RN registration and dedicated leadership in Australian aged care.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Minimum 3 years nursing management experience (ward level or above).
• Demonstrated experience within the Australian Aged Care sector.
• Strong track record in clinical compliance, people management, and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical governance, quality outcomes, and staff mentorship.
• Lead clinical operations, inventory stock, compliance, reporting, and program improvements.
• Train, mentor, and upskill nursing and care staff to maintain high clinical standards.
• Assist the Residential Aged Care Manager with workforce planning and home budgeting.

About The Role

Reporting directly to the Residential Aged Care Manager (RACM), you will serve as Second-in-Command for the home. Drawing on your strong clinical expertise, you will oversee clinical governance, champion quality outcomes, and mentor the next generation of nursing and care staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Resident & Family Care: Build strong, trusting relationships with residents and their families to ensure personalized, compassionate care.
• Clinical Leadership: Oversee clinical operations, stock management, compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement of clinical care programs.
• Team Development: Train, mentor, and upskill nurses and care staff to maintain high standards of clinical practice.
• Operational & Financial Support: Assist the RACM with workforce planning and home budget management.
