Job summary

Shear Community Services on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner to provide specialist Positive Behaviour Support to NDIS participants across the Sunshine Coast and surrounding regions. You will conduct functional assessments, develop support plans and coach participants and networks while collaborating with a small, supportive team.

This role offers a hybrid arrangement with a mix of community-based work, home tasks and tight clinical supervision from our Clinical

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Q&S Commission.
• Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, OT, Speech Pathology, Developmental Education or related field.
• Experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support within the NDIS.
• Strong assessment, report writing and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and WWCC, or willingness to obtain.
• Current Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• ABN or willingness to obtain for contractors.

Responsibilities

• You’ll work with a varied caseload of NDIS participants across the Sunshine Coast, completing functional behaviour assessments and developing behaviour support plans.
• Manage referrals and onboarding to allow time for high quality clinical work and client outcomes.
