Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in the Climate Change and Sustainability Services team to lead engagements across industries, focusing on sustainability reporting, assurance, and decarbonisation initiatives. This role is based in Sydney and may offer flexible hours.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver strategic advisory, risk assessment, and compliance support, shaping solutions for clients navigating complex regulatory landscapes.

Qualifications

• Experience in professional services or consulting is preferred.
• Tertiary qualification in engineering, maths, or physics.
• Experience in climate change services, including GHG accounting.
• Demonstrated experience in reporting and/or assurance of greenhouse gas emissions.
• Knowledge of the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act and related legislation.
• Familiarity with S2 standard requirements from the AASB.
• Experience leading teams and coaching staff.
• Knowledge of climate-related disclosure frameworks (TCFD/TNFD).
• Understanding of decarbonisation approaches, climate risk, and strategy.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team across industries to manage and report sustainability and climate risks.
• Deliver assurance of non-financial reporting, including emissions and energy metrics.
• Contribute to strategy, methodologies, and tools for regulatory compliance and stakeholder management.
• Assist clients to develop and implement sustainability strategies and targets.
• Assist in climate scenario analysis to inform short- and long-term objectives.
