Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Consultant in Climate Change and Sustainability Services to join our team in Perth or Sydney. You will work across industries to manage and report on sustainability risks, deliver assurance of non-financial reporting, and help clients develop climate strategies and targets.

The role offers flexible hours and opportunities to contribute to regulatory-facing solutions, with a strong emphasis on decarbonisation, ESG strategy, and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification, such as in engineering, science, economics or accounting
• Experience in climate change services (either in professional services, industry or government)
• Experience in financial or non-financial audit (either in professional services, industry or government)
• Ability to work independently across multiple engagements with overlapping deadlines
• Demonstrable experience in and passion for reporting and/or assurance of greenhouse gas emissions

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team across a range of industries, assisting organisations on how they manage and report on a broad range of sustainability and climate related risks and impacts
• Assurance of non-financial reporting, including sustainability metrics, emissions and energy reporting across a range of industry sectors
• Contribute to strategy, solutions, methodologies, analytical frameworks and tools to help clients succeed and navigate complex regulatory environments and manage stakeholder expectations
• Assist clients to develop and implement sustainability strategies, develop targets, and implement plans to enhance sustainability value for a broad range of sustainability topics, including diversity, waste, modern slavery and environmental impacts
• Analyse effects of water, air quality and climate change towards organisations and communities, including ensuring integrity of environmental data as well as understanding climate risks and opportunities, in order to formulate short-and long-term management objectives
