Job summary

NSW Department of Education is seeking a Senior Asset Services Officer (Client-Side Project Manager) to lead end-to-end delivery of minor capital and maintenance works within live school environments. You will coordinate stakeholders, prepare briefs and cost estimates, and manage design documentation within approved budgets.

The role requires experience in construction project or site management, strong reporting discipline, and commitment to Aboriginal Education policy.

Qualifications

• Experience in the construction sector with contract, project or site management.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Commitment to Aboriginal Education Policy and NSW AECG partnership for outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating stakeholders, including facilitating meetings, preparing agendas, recording actions and reporting.
• Developing briefs, scopes of work, cost estimates and design documentation within approved budgets.
• Determining planning and approval pathways with input from internal and external experts.
• Managing procurement activities and contract documentation.
• Overseeing contracts and contractor performance during construction and post completion.
• Maintaining accurate project records and reporting on progress, risks and outcomes.
