Job summary

NSW Department of Education in Sydney is seeking an experienced manager to oversee capital works delivery within School Infrastructure. You will lead a team, provide strategic advice to the Director of Asset Management, and manage financial planning and the budgeting for major projects.

The role requires strong leadership, procurement guidance, and the ability to coordinate across departments to ensure timely delivery of upgrades and new builds for NSW public schools.

Qualifications

• Experience in a management role within trades and construction.
• Exposure to financial planning and budget management policies.
• High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Current NSW Driver’s License and willingness to travel across Sydney Metro.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of capital works projects to schools within the Regional Asset Management Office.
• Provide strategic and specialised advice to the Director of Asset Management.
• Manage financial planning and budgeting for capital works projects.
• Lead and manage a team to implement timely delivery of minor capital works projects.
• Develop a local system for leasing and licensing guidance for departmental facilities.
