ALS Environmental is seeking a full-time Client Services Officer to join our team at the brand-new Smithfield Laboratory. We work closely with clients to provide quality technical and analytical advice and facilitate project delivery through effective communication and project management.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and provide technical guidance.

• Prepare quotations, tenders, expressions of interest, monthly service reports and work instructions.
• Promote ALS services through client engagement, site visits and events.
• Coordinate client and project requirements including sample pickups and invoicing.

About the Role
ALS Environmental is seeking a full-time Client Services Officer to join our team at our brand-new Smithfield Laboratory. We work closely with our clients to provide quality technical and analytical advice as well as facilitating project delivery through effective communication and project management.

We're looking for a self-motivated and proactive learner who understands business and client requirements and who is confident to advise clients on the technical aspects of Environmental analysis.

This is a permanent opportunity, Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:15 PM.

The Day to Day:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, providing timely responses, follow-up and technical guidance, including method selection.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client projects are communicated, prioritised and delivered accurately and on time.
• Prepare quotations, tenders, expressions of interest, monthly service reports, quality plans, project information sheets and work instructions.
• Promote ALS services through client engagement, site visits, conferences, trade exhibitions and marketing activities.
• Coordinate client and project requirements, including sample pickups, container orders, invoice queries, project monitoring and sample receipt activities.

The Essentials:

• Proactive and driven by a strong desire to deliver an exceptional client experience
• Adept at organisation and multitasking to juggle competing priorities
• Demonstrate professionalism and thrive in a front-facing environment
• A strong proficiency in computer applications (MS Suite, industry-based) and CRM applications.
• Experience in Laboratories and/or Bachelor of Science (Chemistry/Science or similar) desirable but not essential
• A demonstrated interest or personal hobby in areas such as computer building, circuitry, automation, Excel macros, scripting, or 3D printing
• Coding or programming capability (e.g. VBA, Python, R, SQL or similar) - desirable but not essential
• Exposure to or interest in robotics, AI, process automation or digital optimisation - desirable but not essential
• Experience in a similar commercial laboratory (desirable).
