Job summary

The Opportunity

An immediate temporary assignment has become available within their Sydney CBD office. Reporting to the Collections Manager, you will support the wider collections function by managing a portfolio of consumer mortgage accounts up to 80 days in arrears.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Engaging with customers to recover outstanding arrears in a professional and empathetic manner


• Negotiating and implementing tailored repayment arrangements


• Monitoring repayment plans and proactively following up on commitments


• Liaising with internal stakeholders (Customer Service, Credit, Legal) to achieve timely resolutions


• Achieving individual KPIs while contributing to a high-performing, team-focused environment

About You

To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:

• Minimum 12 months’ experience in collections within financial services, ORstrong customer service experience within a financial services environment


• Confidence managing sensitive conversations regarding overdue accounts


• Strong negotiation and influencing skills


• Excellent attention to detail and time management


• A proactive mindset with the ability to quickly integrate into an established team
