Job summary

Hart Recruitment Ltd on the Gold Coast seeks an experienced Client Services Manager to oversee a diverse SME portfolio within a modern award-winning CA practice. You will build strong client relationships, review financial statements and tax returns, and provide tax structuring and business advisory services.

Working with a highly accomplished Partner, you will mentor junior accountants, manage workflow, and support budgeting and billing. Flexible hours with up to 2 days WFH are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in client services for SME portfolios.
• Strong technical tax and business services knowledge.
• Proven ability to mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop strong client relationships across a varied portfolio.
• Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns.
• Provide tax structuring and strategic business advice.
• Review Div 7A implications, company accounts and loan repayment calculations.
• Prepare tax projections and year-end tax planning strategies.
• Manage workflow, productivity and delegation across the team.
• Review and mentor junior accountants, providing guidance and technical support.
• Assist with budgeting, billing and overall client management.

The firm provides a broad range of services across Accounting, Taxation, Management Accounting, Virtual CFO services and more, and has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality client outcomes.

Working closely with a highly accomplished Partner, you will take ownership of a diverse client portfolio and play a key role in managing and mentoring a team of accountants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop strong client relationships across a varied portfolio
• Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns
• Provide tax structuring and strategic business advice
• Review Div 7A implications, company accounts and loan repayment calculations
• Prepare tax projections and year-end tax planning strategies
• Manage workflow, productivity and delegation across the team
• Review and mentor junior accountants, providing guidance and technical support
• Assist with budgeting, billing and overall client management

Requirements:

• Currently working at Assistant Manager or Manager level within a local public practice firm
• CA or CPA qualified
• Strong technical tax and business services knowledge
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• Proven experience managing or mentoring junior staff
• Motivated, proactive and career-driven with a professional and personable approach
