You'll work closely with manufacturers, testing laboratories, regulatory bodies and internal technical teams to ensure building products meet relevant Australian and New Zealand standards and regulatory requirements.

This is a varied role combining technical expertise, client relationship management and project coordination, offering the opportunity to contribute to the safety, quality and compliance of building products across the industry.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Evaluate certification applications and supporting evidence to facilitate certification decisions.
  • Support certification activities relating to building products, construction systems and innovative building technologies.
Client Relationship Management
  • Manage an assigned portfolio of clients, providing technical guidance and certification support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, technical specialists and industry stakeholders.
  • Act as a key point of contact for certification enquiries, project updates and ongoing client requirements.

  • Collaborate with testing laboratories, certification specialists and internal teams to support efficient project delivery.
  • Stay informed of changes to building regulations, certification schemes and industry standards.
  • Contribute technical expertise to business development activities, proposals and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You

We're looking for someone who brings a strong technical foundation in building products, construction, engineering or product compliance, along with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

To be successful, you'll bring:

  • A sound understanding of Australian building regulatory requirements, including the National Construction Code (NCC), Building Code of Australia (BCA) and relevant Australian Standards (AS/AS/NZS).
  • Experience reviewing technical documentation, product specifications, engineering reports and test results to determine compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical information.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging with manufacturers, clients and technical specialists.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • A current driver's licence and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

While not essential, we'd be particularly interested in candidates with experience in:

  • ISO/IEC 17065, ISO/IEC 17025 or other conformity assessment and accreditation frameworks.
  • Product certification audits, factory production control assessments or manufacturing facility audits.
  • Accredited certification bodies, testing laboratories or technical compliance organisations.
