Job summary

SAI Global, now part of Intertek, is seeking a Lead Auditor in Sydney to oversee external audits against ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 27001. You will interface with clients, develop audit plans, and ensure timely, rigorous audits with senior colleagues, contributing to our assurance services strategy.

The role requires extensive field experience, strong reporting, and the ability to work with diverse industries. Travel is required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and extensive full-time experience in Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
• Experienced in conducting third-party audits across various industries.
• Ability to write reports, present information clearly and respond to client questions.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to work effectively in audit teams and manage individual audits with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Interface directly with clients to ensure compliance to international standards.
• Work on complex third-party audits requiring substantial judgment.
• Develop audit plans and conduct audits with clients.
• Complete audit reports and perform follow-up activities as required.
• Interface with SAI Senior Auditors, Client Relation Managers and Operations.
• Contribute to the development and achievement of SAI Global Assurance Services’ strategic vision.
• Travel as required.

We are looking for a Lead Auditorbased in Sydney, interested in being a part of SAI Global - Intertek.

OurManagement Systems Auditors, manage a portfolio of clients related to industry experience while conducting External Audits against internationally recognised standards in (but not limited to):

ISO 9001:2015 - Management Systems

ISO 45001:2018 - Occupational Health & Safety

ISO 27001:2022 – Information Security Management

Auditors are responsible for ensuring audits are conducted in a timely and effective manner, employing the relevant risk assessment standards or assessment criteria, and maintaining the audit process rigor and technical integrity to meet internal and external accreditation requirements. They also:

Interface directly with clients to ensure compliance to international standards

Work on third-party audits that are complex where considerable judgment is required

Develop audit plans, and conduct audit with the clients

Complete audit reports and conduct follow-up activities when required

Interface with SAI Senior Auditors, Client Relation Managers and Operations

Contribute to the development and achievement of SAI Global Assurance Services’ strategic vision

Travel as required

About You

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year College or University or equivalent education.

Extensive full‑time experience in the field of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Management Systems

Experience conducting third‑party audits

In‑depth experience across a broad range of industries e.g. Construction, manufacturing, Engineering and Health Services

Good at dealing with all levels of a business from executives to operational levels

Ability to write reports effectively present information and respond to questions from clients

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Ability to work effectively in audit teams and manage individual audits with minimal supervision
