Job description

Make an impact. Build trusted partnerships. Help make roads safer.

Join an innovative Australian technology company using AI and advanced imaging to make roads safer.

As Client Engagement Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering major ACT Government Road Safety Programs, strengthening client relationships and driving operational excellence. Our partner, Acusensus is an Australian technology success story with a global presence across Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom and New Zealand. Their world-leading technology tackles distracted driving and other road safety challenges, helping reduce road fatalities and injuries.

Their purpose is simple: to save lives and make communities safer.

They achieve this through innovation, collaboration, integrity, care and a commitment to delivering meaningful results.

Based in Canberra, you’ll be a key link between Acusensus and the ACT Government, supporting the delivery of Mobile Speed Camera (MSC) and Mobile Phone and Seatbelt Detection Camera (MPSDC) programs. Working closely with the ACT Program Manager and teams across the business, you’ll help ensure contractual commitments are met, operational performance remains on track and the client receives an exceptional level of service.

This is an opportunity for a commercially minded, analytical and relationship-focused professional who enjoys bringing people together, solving complex problems and turning performance data into meaningful action.

You’ll have the opportunity to influence service delivery, identify improvements, manage emerging risks and contribute to contract retention and future growth.

Key responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with government contacts, proactively addressing concerns and identifying opportunities to improve service delivery.
  • Support the day-to-day operational management of programs, ensuring contractual obligations, KPIs and service levels are achieved.
  • Monitor performance data, identify trends and provide actionable insights to support informed decision-making.
  • Prepare and quality-assure client reports, dashboards, presentations, governance documentation, risk registers and invoicing.
  • Coordinate client meetings, track actions and ensure accountability across internal teams and external partners.
  • Identify, assess and escalating operational risks and issues, working collaboratively to achieve timely resolutions.
  • Coordinate resources, equipment and field operations to support reliable service delivery across deployment sites.
  • Contribute to tenders, proposals, contract renewals and business development opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency and consistent service quality.
  • Support workplace health and safety reporting and compliance requirements.

You’re a proactive and commercially aware professional who can balance strong client relationships with operational discipline and attention to detail. You are comfortable working across multiple priorities, influencing stakeholders and taking ownership of outcomes.

You’ll ideally bring:
  • Experience in client engagement, account management or operations management within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret performance data and translate findings into practical recommendations.
  • Experience with contract management, KPI and SLA reporting, governance or compliance-driven service delivery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports and engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and resolve issues proactively.
  • The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across technical, operational and commercial teams.
  • A high level of professionalism, integrity and accountability.

A relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent demonstrated experience is required. Experience working with government clients, technology-enabled services or regulated programs will be highly regarded. Experience in road safety or enforcement technology is advantageous but not essential.

Why join Acusensus?

At Acusensus, your work contributes to something bigger. You’ll be part of a collaborative, purpose-driven team developing and delivering technology that helps protect road users and create safer communities.

You’ll have the opportunity to:
  • Make a tangible contribution to road safety and community wellbeing.
  • Work at the intersection of innovative technology, government partnerships and complex service delivery.
  • Build strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Influence operational performance and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Develop your expertise within a growing Australian technology business with global reach.

Additional requirements:The successful candidate will be required to complete police and driving history checks, along with any additional checks required under client contracts.
