Job summary

Redwheat Accommodations Pty Ltd in Mackay is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to lead and coordinate our cleaning team and ensure guest-ready properties. The role combines supervisory duties with hands-on cleaning during busy periods.

You will organize daily schedules, monitor progress, perform quality checks and provide training to cleaners to uphold high presentation standards across all properties. A valid driver’s licence and reliable transport are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, accommodation or a similar environment.
• Previous supervisory, team leader or coordination experience.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• The ability to prioritise and keep a team on track during busy periods.
• Good communication skills and the confidence to provide clear, respectful direction.
• A proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
• The ability to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities.
• A genuine commitment to maintaining high cleaning and presentation standards.
• A current driver's licence and reliable transport.

Working closely with our management team, you will help ensure the daily cleaning operation runs efficiently and our properties are guest-ready within the required timeframes. This is a supervisory role with a hands-on component. While your primary responsibility will be overseeing the cleaning operation, you will also be expected to assist with cleaning when required, particularly during busy periods, staff shortages or when a property needs an extra set of hands.
