Job summary

City Facilities Management is seeking a Cleaner on a part-time basis for Mackay and North Mackay sites. The role covers cleaning activity rooms, amenities and shared spaces, with a focus on disinfection and adherence to OH&S policies.

A smartphone for work communication and valid Australian work rights are required; a driver’s licence and own car are preferred for site visits. Flexible coverage across locations may apply, with an equal opportunity workplace environment and no agency referrals

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential).
• Valid working rights in Australia.
• Willing to obtain a Police Check or Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Clean activity rooms, amenities, and shared spaces.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces such as handles and switches.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, and spot-clean doors and windows.
• Safely use chemicals, equipment, and machinery.
• Perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and kneeling.
• Follow OH&S policies and procedures.

• Reliable Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00pm–9:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean activity rooms, amenities, and shared spaces

• Perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and kneeling
• Follow all OH&S policies and procedures

Various locations available: 1 x cleaner per site

• Mackay - Macalister St
• Mackay - Shakespeare St
• Mackay - Bridge Rd
• North Mackay

**The successful candidate must be flexible and willing to cover the above mentioned locations if required.
