Job summary

Cairns Convention Centre is seeking a hands-on Cleaning Coordinator to help keep our venue looking its best. You will coordinate the casual cleaning team, perform daily duties, and support safe cleaning practices.

You will work with other departments, manage equipment and chemicals, and ensure WHS compliance, weekends/evenings/public holidays. Join Legends Global's Cairns operation and grow your leadership skills in a world-class venue.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating a cleaning team.
• Experience in commercial facility cleaning.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work varying hours including weekends and public holidays.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the cleaning team to ensure the Centre is clean, tidy, and presented to a high standard.
• Perform daily cleaning duties and ensure all cleaning checklists are complete.
• Train and support team members in safe cleaning practices, including the use of chemicals and equipment.
• Work closely with other departments, promote exceptional customer service and ensure workplace health and safety requirements are followed.
• Assist with equipment and chemical management, inventory control and waste management.
