Job summary

Downer is seeking cleaners to support Stockland's national portfolio, with roles at Piccadilly Retail and Piccadilly complex in Pitt Street, Sydney. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will perform routine cleaning, sanitise areas, and manage waste with safety in mind.

Night shifts available, including Monday–Friday rosters. The role requires prior cleaning experience, ability to work independently, and willingness to undergo pre-employment checks such as a National Police Check and Working

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning roles across commercial or similar environments.
• Knowledge of safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety and basic sanitation practices.
• Good time management skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to follow procedures, communicate effectively, and report issues as required.
• Must have Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain.
• Prepared to undertake pre-employment checks including National Police Check and medical.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of facilities, including floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas.
• Clean and sanitise high-touch areas and replenish supplies as needed.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste in line with safety guidelines.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and report any maintenance issues.

Downer has been awarded a major Integrated Facilities Management contract with Stockland, delivering services across a national portfolio of commercial offices, retail centres, logistics facilities and land lease communities. This long-term partnership reflects Downer's strength in managing large, complex portfolios and delivering high-quality services at scale.

We currently have an opportunity for Cleaners to join our workforce and play a key role in supporting the effective and efficient management of properties across Stockland's national portfolio, located Stocklands Piccadilly Retail and Piccadilly complex in Pitt Street, Sydney.

The rostered hours for the cleaning positions are as follows:

Night Shift Monday - Friday 16:30 - 21:30

Night Shift Monday - Friday 14:30 - 22:06

Night Shift Monday - Friday 16:24 - 0:00 (midnight)

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes for our client and our communities.

What You'll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

• Perform routine cleaning of facilities, including floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas
• Clean and sanitise high-touch areas and replenish supplies as needed
• Empty bins and dispose of waste in line with safety guidelines
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and report any maintenance issues

What You'll Bring

• Previous experience in cleaning roles across commercial, residential, or similar environments
• Knowledge of safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals (use of polishers, scrubbers and buffers highly desirable)
• Understanding of workplace health and safety and basic sanitation practices
• Good time management skills and ability to work independently
• Ability to follow procedures, communicate effectively, and report issues as required
• Must have Working with Children's Check or be willing to obtain
• Prepared to undertake necessary pre-employment checks which includes National Police Check and medical.
