Lead Property & Cleaning Services is seeking a reliable cleaner for casual weekend shifts at Prahran and surrounding sites. The role covers standard cleaning tasks, including restrooms, rubbish removal, and general site upkeep. You will travel between sites and clock hours worked daily, with pay governed by the Cleaning Services Award 2020 (MA000022) Level 1.

Sunday rate around $60/hr. Candidate must have a working visa for up to 38 hours per week, hold a valid Australian Drivers’ License, and

• Experience in cleaning on commercial sites is required.
• Customer relations experience is a plus.
• Must be able to perform physical work and long shifts on weekends.

The Opportunity

Employment Type: Casual.

Shift Pattern: Sunday work between 3-4 hours. 2.5 weekly + 1-1.5 hours every 2nd week (includes travel time between sites).

Location:

Prahran – every 2nd week

Wages: The role will be covered by the Cleaning Services Award 2020 (MA000022)-Level 1. See the pay guide here. The hourly rate will increase annually according to the award. Sunday is ~$60/hr.

Minimum shift requirement: 1-hour minimum shift

Vehicle Allowance: Employees using their own vehicle for travel between jobs will be paid $1.01/km. They must maintain a detailed log book in this event.

Time Sheets: The employee will clock on upon arrival at the first job and clock off upon departure from the last job in a day. They will be paid hourly rates for the time between clocking on and clocking off, which includes any necessary stops throughout the day. They will not be paid for commuting to and from home.

The Award: We will comply completely with the award requirements.

Application & Recruitment Process

Following submission of a written application an in-person interview will be conducted via Google Teams for short listed candidates. Candidates successful in the first round interview will be taken to an in-person interview before a preferred candidate is selected for a trial. Police & reference checks will be completed prior to commencing any employment.

The Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Routine Cleaning Activities: To conduct routine cleaning services including mopping, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning of toilets / bathrooms, emptying of bins according to the work scope developed specifically for each client.

Client Relations: To build and maintain positive relationships with clients whilst on site, including to identify and facilitate solutions to clients’ needs as they emerge.

Routine Reporting: To routinely maintain active reporting within the company management tool(s), including to report when arriving and departing a clients’ site, and to share relevant feedback and images pertaining to the work scope (or information that would be relevant to the client)

We're looking for a reliable, hardworking cleaner to join us for casual weekend shifts. You'll be handling standard cleaning tasks like sanitizing restrooms, taking out the rubbish, and generally keeping things looking great. You'll be a great fit if you have a positive attitude, take pride in a job well done, and are physically comfortable staying on your feet and safely using standard cleaning equipment.

Australian Drivers’ License or an equivalent international drivers’ license.

Comfortable performing physical work duties

Previous experience in customer relations a plus

Previous experience in cleaning is mandatory
