Job summary

CraigCare Group is seeking a Casual Cleaner/Kitchen Hand for our Albany Home. You will help maintain high cleaning standards and support kitchen tasks in a caring aged care setting.

The role requires strong communication, a positive attitude, and flexibility to work across any day. Prior hotel services/kitchen experience in aged care and a current NDIS check are advantageous; Australian work rights must be demonstrated.

Qualifications

• Organised and reliable with a can-do attitude.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible to work across any day of the week.
• Experience in hotel services/kitchen within aged care is preferred.
• Good knowledge of Food Safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cleaning and kitchen tasks to meet CraigCare standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, visitors and staff.
• Follow Food Safety Program requirements and recordkeeping.
• Support infection control initiatives and safe work practices.
• Contribute to a positive, respectful environment for residents and colleagues.
• Adhere to organisational policies and procedures.

We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Cleaner/Kitchen Hands to join us on a casual basis at our Albany Home!

About your role:

As a cleaner, you will be responsible for ensuring cleaning standards are met, as well as meeting creating a relaxing environment for our residents. You will bring a strong commitment to customer service, cleanliness, safety and a strong understanding of cleaning requirements that will have a positive impact on the wellbeing of our residents.

You will therefore hold strong communication skills combined with the ability to build positive and warm working relationships with residents and colleagues.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with monitoring and recording requirements of the Food Safety Program
• Contribute to a clean and safe working environment to ensure the safety of our residents, visitors and staff
• Preparation and cleaning in accordance with the Food Safety Program
• Ensure all Kitchen cleaning tasks meet CraigCare standards
• Understand and execute infection control initiatives
• Ensure all cleaning tasks meet CraigCare Standards

What You’ll Bring:

• Organised, can-do attitude to what can be a physically demanding team environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexibility to work acrossany dayof the week
• Previous experience in Hotel Services (Kitchen) within an Aged Care Environment
• Sound knowledge of Food Safety

Essential Requirements:

• Current NDIS check clearance (or willing to obtain)
• Proof of Work rights in Australia
