Job summary

CraigCare is seeking a Food Service Assistant for our Mornington Home to support residents with meals, service, and dining experiences. You will assist with food preparation, presentation, serving, and kitchen clean-up while maintaining food safety standards and meeting residents' dietary needs.

You must hold a Food Handlers Certificate and have kitchen experience. You will work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, uphold infection control, and help create a warm, respectful atmosphere

We are seeking a Food Service Assistant (must hold food handlers certificate) for our Mornington Home to work on a Casual/Temp basis.

About the role

As a Food Service Assistant you will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, presentation, serving and clean-up of meals to our residents. You will bring a strong commitment to customer service and food safety.

You will play an important role in committing to working safely within your team and promoting a positive outlook on the wellbeing of our residents.

What You Will Do

• Assist with monitoring and recording requirements of the Food Safety Program
• Contribute to a clean and safe working environment to ensure the safety of our residents, visitors and staff
• Ensure all Kitchen cleaning tasks meet CraigCare standards
• Understanding residents special dietary requirements
• Contribute to a clean and safe working environment to ensure the safety of our residents, visitors and staff
• Understand and execute infection control initiatives

What You Will Bring

• Must hold Food Handlers Certificate
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role (medium to large Kitchen)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work as a team player
• Flexibility to work varied shifts
• Previous experience in Kitchen operations
• Sound knowledge of Food Safety Standards
• Provide NDIS clearance, Rights to Work
