Job summary

CraigCare Pascoe Vale VIC is seeking a Kitchen Hand to support our aged care dining services in a casual/temporary capacity. The role emphasizes food safety, team collaboration, and delivering a positive dining experience for residents.

Ideal candidates have kitchen or hospitality experience, strong communication skills, and flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends. NDIS or Police checks may be required, and work rights in Australia are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen, hospitality, or food service experience.
• Sound knowledge of food safety practices; Food Safety Certificate preferred.
• Positive, team-focused, and customer-service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, presentation, and meal service.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment.
• Support the monitoring and recording of Food Safety Program requirements.
• Complete cleaning and sanitization tasks in line with CraigCare standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver exceptional service to residents.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.

About You:

• Previous kitchen, hospitality, or food service experience
• Sound knowledge of food safety practices (Food Safety Certificate preferred)

• Strong communication skills and a can-do attitude
• Flexible to work across a rotating roster, including weekends

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with food preparation, presentation, and meal service

Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment

Support the monitoring and recording of Food Safety Program requirements

Complete cleaning and sanitization tasks in accordance with food safety and CraigCare standards
