Job summary

Rock Support Services is seeking a compassionate Domestic Assistant (Cleaner) to provide essential cleaning services to disability and private clients in community homes. The role is casual but permanent, with day shifts only and travel between clients per kilometre.

You will perform household tasks, maintain high standards of cleanliness, and communicate clearly with clients. A valid driver’s licence, WWCC/NDIS checks, first aid, and CPR are required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Able to perform household tasks: sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, laundry, bathrooms and kitchens.
• Day shifts only; no evenings or weekends; flexible for school hours if needed.
• Driver’s licence with reliable vehicle and insurance; willing to travel between clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning services to disability and private clients in their homes.
• Build rapport with clients and communicate effectively.
• Travel between client sites and manage basic tasks using technology.

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Domestic Assistant (Cleaner) to join our team, on a casual but permanent basis.

As part of our team, you will play a vital role in providing essential cleaning services to our disability and private clients living in the community, maintaining and enhancing their homes and standard of living.

You will be a great fit if you have:

• Able to perform household tasks, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, making beds, changing linen, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens and handling laundry (hanging, folding, ironing).
• Day shifts only – no evening or weekends – can work around school hours if needed
• Build rapport and communicate effectively with clients
• Driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
• Paid travel between clients per kilometre
• Current Working with Children’s and NDIS workers checks (or willingness to obtain)
• Current First aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
• Confident using basic technology (Microsoft Teams, email, mobile apps)
