Mercy Health is seeking a Casual Cleaner at Mercy Place Woodspoint (Yarrawonga, VIC). You will help maintain cleanliness and hygiene for elderly residents, performing routine tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, dusting and sanitizing areas across the home.

You will follow infection control guidelines and work independently to keep spaces spotless, safe and comfortable for residents and staff in a community-focused aged care setting.

Qualificações

• Experience in cleaning or housekeeping roles.
• Ability to work independently and maintain cleanliness standards.
• Compassion and empathy towards residents in care settings.
• Experience in Aged Care or Health environment is desirable but not essential.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the facility, including common areas, resident rooms and restrooms.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, dusting and sanitizing.
• Follow prescribed routines and infection control guidelines to keep the home clean and safe.

About the opportunity

You will play a crucial part in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of our facility, ensuring the well‑being and comfort of elderly residents. General responsibilities include routine cleaning tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms

You will ensure the Aged Care home is cleaned and maintained in accordance with prescribed routines and infection control guidelines.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping roles
• Ability to work independently, a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards
• A sense of compassion & empathy towards elderly residents
• Experience working in Aged Care or Health environment (desirable but not essential)

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

• National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Clearance or Police Check
• Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
