Mercy Health is seeking a Casual Cleaner for Mercy Place Woodspoint in Yarrawonga (VIC). You will help maintain a clean, safe environment for elderly residents, performing routine tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, dusting and sanitising shared areas and resident rooms.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping roles.
• Ability to work independently and maintain cleanliness standards.
• Compassion and empathy towards elderly residents.
• Experience in aged care or health environment is desirable but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards of the facility.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks: mopping, vacuuming, dusting and sanitising common areas and resident rooms.
• Ensure the Aged Care home is cleaned and maintained in accordance with infection control guidelines.

About the opportunity

You will play a crucial part in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of our facility, ensuring the well-being and comfort of elderly residents. General responsibilities include routine cleaning tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms

You will ensure the Aged Care home is cleaned and maintained in accordance with prescribed routines and infection control guidelines.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping roles
• Ability to work independently, a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards
• A sense of compassion & empathy towards elderly residents
• Experience working in Aged Care or Health environment (desirable but not essential)

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

• National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Clearance or Police Check
• Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
