Mercy Health Ballarat is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of our aged care facility, ensuring comfort and safety for residents.

You will perform routine tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, dusting and sanitizing, following infection control guidelines, and may need evidence of NDIS clearance or police check.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping roles.
• Ability to work independently and maintain cleanliness standards.
• Empathy toward elderly residents and care-focused approach.
• Experience in aged care or health environment is desirable.

• You will play a crucial part in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of our facility, ensuring the well-being and comfort of elderly residents.
• General responsibilities include routine cleaning tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms.
• You will also ensure the Aged Care home is cleaned and maintained in accordance with prescribed routines and infection control guidelines.

What you'll bring

• Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping roles
• Ability to work independently, a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards
• A sense of compassion & empathy towards elderly residents
• Experience working in Aged Care or Health environment (desirable but not essential)

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

• NDIS Clearance OR NDIS application or recent police check
