Job summary

BigDog Support Services is seeking a reliable care and cleaning assistant to support clients in both solo and team settings. You will maintain a high standard of cleanliness, ensure privacy, and follow person-centered approaches to support participants in a respectful, safe environment.

The role requires relevant certifications, a Blue Card, and a current driver’s license. We value teamwork, adaptability, and a proactive attitude in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Blue Card (working with children)
• Positive suitability notice or exemption for working with people with disabilities
• Current Queensland driver’s license
• Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 or equivalent)
• Certificate III in Disability or Community Services

You should hold or be willing to obtain:

The following traits will be highly considered:

• Physical fitness to perform manual handling, domestic assistance and to participate in activities with participants,
• Knowledge of Person Centered Practice,
• Experience in commercial or domestic cleaning,
• Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively within a team,
• Ability to prioritise workload and respond to an emergency,
• A positive attitude and the ability to multi-task.
