Job summary

Arcare Aged Care is seeking a dedicated cleaning professional to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for residents across our facilities in Queensland. You will be part of a supportive team, with responsibilities spanning room and area disinfection, waste management, and adherence to infection control protocols.

Applicants must have Australian Working Rights and be prepared to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning or housekeeping is advantageous.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work in a team.
• Strong communication and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms and other facility spaces.
• Dispose of waste in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Follow infection control procedures and use PPE as required.
• Stock cleaning and hygiene supplies for residents and staff.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and vacuums.

Your responsibilities involve maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for our residents.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

• Cleaning and Disinfecting: Regularly clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and other areas throughout the facility.
• Waste Management: Dispose of waste, including both regular trash and medical waste, in accordance with proper guidelines and safety protocols.
• Infection Control: Follow strict infection control procedures, such as using appropriate cleaning agents and personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of infections.
• Stocking Supplies: Ensure that cleaning and hygiene supplies (such as soaps, sanitizers, and cleaning agents) are adequately stocked and available for residents and staff.
• Equipment: Using floor scrubbers, vacuums, cleaning trolleys and consumables.
