Job summary

Arcare Aged Care is seeking a part-time cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for residents across our NSW facilities. You will regularly clean resident rooms, common areas, and bathrooms, and follow waste management and infection control protocols.

Utilising floor scrubbers, vacuums, and cleaning trolleys, you will contribute to a collaborative, well‑communicated team focusing on resident wellbeing. Australian Working Rights and an NDIS Worker Screening Check are required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas and bathrooms.
• Dispose of waste in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Follow infection control procedures and use PPE.
• Stock cleaning and hygiene supplies for residents and staff.
• Operate floor scrubbers, vacuums, trolleys and related equipment.

About The Role

Your responsibilities involve maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for our residents.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

• Cleaning and Disinfecting: Regularly clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and other areas throughout the facility.
• Waste Management: Dispose of waste, including both regular trash and medical waste, in accordance with proper guidelines and safety protocols.
• Infection Control: Follow strict infection control procedures, such as using appropriate cleaning agents and personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of infections.
• Stocking Supplies: Ensure that cleaning and hygiene supplies (such as soaps, sanitizers, and cleaning agents) are adequately stocked and available for residents and staff.
• Equipment: Using floor scrubbers, vacuums, cleaning trolleys and consumables.
