Job summary

Oaks Port Stephens Pacific Blue Resort, part of Minor Hotels, is expanding its housekeeping team with casual opportunities. You will clean guest rooms to high standards, make beds, vacuum, and sanitize bathrooms.

Shifts run Monday to Sunday starting between 8:00am and 9:00am, with hourly rates of 34–47 AUD depending on day. This role requires attention to detail, good physical fitness, and the ability to work with a friendly team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely with training provided.
• Good physical fitness for repetitive tasks like bending and standing.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean guest rooms, including beds, floors, and bathrooms to maintain pristine conditions.
• Complete cleaning tasks within allocated hours and meet daily targets.
• Work with team to achieve operational goals and uphold safety standards.

Oaks Port Stephens Pacific Blue Resort is excited to expand our housekeeping department, with multiple casual opportunities now available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.
• Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.

Shift Details (subject to change):

• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
• Shifts starting between 8:00am and 9.00am

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):

• Monday - Friday: $33.85 per hour
• Saturday: $40.62 per hour
• Sunday: $47.39 per hour

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require the following:

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
