Minor Hotels in Brisbane is expanding our housekeeping department with multiple casual opportunities. You will be responsible for detailed cleaning of guest rooms, ensuring high cleanliness standards and safety compliance, while working a rotating shift across days including weekends.

The role requires a keen eye for detail, good physical fitness, and strong communication with guests and team members. Training is provided, with attractive hotel benefits and staff discounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.
• Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.

Shift Details (subject to change)

Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday Shifts starting between 8:00 am and 9.00am

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation)

• Monday - Friday: $33.85 per hour
• Saturday: $40.62 per hour
• Sunday: $47.39 per hour

Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
