Oaks Port Stephens Pacific Blue Resort in Salamander Bay, NSW, Australia, is expanding its housekeeping team with casual roles. You will clean guest rooms to high standards, assist teammates, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for guests.

Shifts rotate across Monday to Sunday with hours starting around 8–9 am. Hourly rates range from $33.85 to $47.39 depending on day, offering a pathway to supportive hospitality careers within the Oaks Hotels family.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience is valued.
• Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training provided).
• Good physical stamina for repetitive tasks like bending and lifting.
• Clear communication with guests, team members and contractors.
• Excellent time management and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Positive attitude with reliable work ethic and flexibility for weekends/holidays.

Oaks Port Stephens Pacific Blue Resort

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.
• Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.

Shift Details (subject To Change)

• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
• Shifts starting between 8:00am and 9.00am

Hourly Rates (excluding Superannuation)

Monday - Friday: $33.85 per hour

Saturday: $40.62 per hour

Sunday: $47.39 per hour

Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
