About the role:

You will help keep our hospital clean, safe, and comfortable for patients, visitors, and staff. Training will be provided in hospital cleaning and infection control so you can clean areas to the acceptable standard expected in a healthcare setting.

There are various positions available:

• Pharmacy Areas: Monday - Friday, 5.00am - 12.30pm (35 hours per week)

About you:

You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You'll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.

You’ll further have:

• Prior cleaning experience in a healthcare or commercial environment
• Compliance to relevant healthcare standards
• Ensure standards are met and maintained
• Be able to work across all campuses of Austin Health
• Be able to work various shifts including various start and finish times across Austin Health
• Ensure Safe Work Practices are adhered to in accordance with Austin Health Policies
• Ensure best Sustainability practices are adhered to in accordance with Austin Health Policies
• Reliable and punctual
• Be prepared to undergo a National Criminal Record Check (compulsory)
• Be prepared to obtain a Working with Children Check
• All staff to be immunized and have 3 COVID vaccinations (compulsory)
• Work collaboratively with other staff across Austin Health.
• Ensure safe work practices and environment in accordance with Austin Health Policies as varied from time to time.
• A commitment to achieving environmentally sustainable healthcare
• Have a Victorian Drivers Licence
