Minor Hotels is expanding its housekeeping team at Oaks Port Stephens Pacific Blue Resort in Port Stephens. This casual role focuses on delivering exceptional guest room cleans, bed making, and bathroom upkeep with attention to detail.

Shifts rotate across the week with starts between 8:00am and 9:00am. Hourly rates range from AUD 33.85 to AUD 47.39, with opportunities to grow within a global hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles is preferred.
• High attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training provided).
• Good physical fitness to perform repetitive tasks and stand for long periods.
• Professional and clear communication with guests, colleagues and contractors.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Flexible to work weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards by cleaning guest rooms, making beds, vacuuming and bathroom cleaning to ensure pristine environments.

Oaks Port Stephens Pacific Blue Resort is excited to expand our housekeeping department, with multiple casual opportunities now available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.


• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.


• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.


• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.


• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.


• Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.

Shift Details (subject to change):

• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday


• Shifts starting between 8:00am and 9.00am

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):

Monday - Friday: $33.85 per hour
Saturday: $40.62 per hour
Sunday: $47.39 per hour

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require the following:

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.


• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.


• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).


• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.


• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.


• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.


• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.


• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
