Job summary

Minor Hotels is seeking housekeeping staff to maintain pristine guest rooms, including beds, bathrooms and common areas. You will work to schedules, collaborate with team members, and follow safety protocols while using cleaning equipment provided by the company.

Successful candidates will bring prior housekeeping experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle physical tasks. Training is provided, with shifts including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles is highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina for repetitive tasks (bending, lifting, standing).
• Professional and clear communication with guests, team members and contractors.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.
• Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.

Shift Details (subject to change)

Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday. Shifts starting between 08:00am and 09.00am.

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation)

• Monday - Friday: $33.85 per hour
• Saturday: $40.62 per hour
• Sunday: $47.39 per hour

Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
