Job summary

Renewable Careers Limited in Melbourne offers a two-year, full-time rotational program for graduates and early-career professionals to understand the whole clean energy business. You will rotate across core functions and complete three eight-month rotations, shaping around your strengths and interests.

Upon completion, you will secure a permanent placement on the team with mentorship and direct exposure to senior leadership, while enjoying hybrid work, relocation support, and a clear pathway

About us

We develop, build, own and operate renewable energy projects across Australia, with a portfolio spanning utility-scale solar, wind and battery energy storage (BESS). Australia's energy transition is moving at remarkable pace, and our Melbourne office works at the centre of it. This program develops the people we expect to help lead that transition.

The program

This is a two-year, full-time rotational position for graduates and early-career professionals who want to understand the whole clean energy business before choosing a specialty. You will complete three eight-month rotations across our core functions, shaped around your strengths and interests:

• Development: siting, approvals, grid connection and the commercial groundwork that takes a project from map to shovel-ready
• Engineering & Construction: technical design, contractor coordination and delivering projects in the field
• Finance & Asset Management: investment analysis, project finance and the commercial performance of our operating fleet
• You will finish the program with a permanent placement on the team where you have found the strongest fit, along with a network and a company-wide understanding that most professionals take years to build.

What we are looking for

• A bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, economics, finance, business or a related field
• A demonstrated interest in clean energy and the transition to a decarbonised grid
• Strong analytical skills and comfort with data, spreadsheets and learning new tools
• Clear communication and the confidence to work across every part of a business
• Adaptability: three rotations mean three new teams, new problems and steep learning curves

• No prior energy experience is required. Internships, vacation work, research or campus involvement that show initiative are highly regarded. We hire for aptitude and attitude.

• AUD $75,000 - $90,000 base salary plus superannuation, depending on experience
