Job summary

Barrawang Primary School opened in January 2023 in the growing northern suburb of Wollert, and has quickly become a thriving and highly sought-after school community. We currently have approximately 440 students across 21 classes from Foundation to Year 6, and in 2027 we anticipate growing to around 525 students across 25 classrooms, with straight-grade classes across all year levels except Years 5/6.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of the curriculum with ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning and implementing high impact teaching strategies.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning and providing feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum.
• Undertake other classroom duties as required by school leadership.
• Plan and deliver learning programs with appropriate release time for staff.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school priorities.
