Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning high-impact teaching strategies and evaluating learning impact.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform practice.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; build collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and community.
• Behaviours consistent with Department values and commitment to professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals to achieve outcomes.
• Contribute to curriculum development, implementation and evaluation.
• Undertake classroom and organizational duties as required by the Principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Provide leadership and supervise student teachers where appropriate.
