Job summary

St Joseph’s Primary School, part of the Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CACGEL), is seeking a Classroom Teacher to deliver evidence-based lessons using High Impact Teaching Practices and foster a positive learning environment.

You will develop strong relationships with students, parents and staff, participate in Catalyst professional learning, and benefit from generous parental leave provisions with opportunities to transfer within ACT/NSW archdiocesan schools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education/Teaching or Master of Teaching.
• WWVP registration (ACT Working with Vulnerable People).
• TQI registration (ACT Teacher Quality Institute).

About the Role

As a Classroom Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based lessons using High Impact Teaching Practices, that engage and challenge students, while fostering a positive classroom environment where all learners can thrive. You will have well-developed self-awareness and the personal capabilities of reflection on your own performance, with an aim to continue to grow and develop as a classroom practitioner. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the capacity to develop productive and caring relationships with students, parents and staff where the focus is on the learning and well-being of the student.
