Job summary

Lumen Christi Catholic College is seeking a Classroom Support Assistant to help teachers support students with diverse learning needs and ensure access to the curriculum. This role values inclusive education and collaboration with staff across CACGEL.

The position is part-time (12 hours per fortnight) with a $75,935 full-time equivalent salary, and start date negotiable. Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents and WWCC compliant.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in School-based Education Support or pursuing an Initial Teacher Education program.
• WWCC (Working with Children Check) required.
• Accreditation in accordance with Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers to ensure students with diverse learning needs access and participate in the curriculum.
• Assist with classroom activities and behavioural management under supervision.
• Contribute to inclusive education practices and student development.

About the Role

The Classroom Support Assistant is a member of the classroom support team that plays a key role in supporting classroom teachers to ensure that all students with diverse learning needs can access and participate in the curriculum and activities to achieve the academic goals and social skills required for independent learning and confident participation. Relevant experience in an industrial environment will be highly regarded.
