Job summary

Northern Beaches Council is seeking a Claims Officer on a permanent, full-time basis (35 hours per week) within the Governance & Assurance Services unit. The role focuses on arranging insurance coverage for the Council and managing public liability claims to achieve fair outcomes for all parties.

Successful candidates will investigate and provide detailed information to internal and external stakeholders including the Chief Executive Team and Councillors.

Qualifications

• Experience investigating complex matters with attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the annual placement of Council’s insurance to ensure appropriate coverage.
• Manage and determine public liability claims to achieve fair outcomes for all parties.
• Investigate and provide supporting information to internal and external stakeholders including executive leadership and Councillors.
