Job summary

EML in Adelaide is seeking a Claims Officer to join our Workers Compensation and Personal Injury team. You will start with hands-on training and gain exposure to claims management, return-to-work schemes, and relevant legislation.

Based in Adelaide with a hybrid arrangement up to 2 days remote, you will work with diverse stakeholders to support injured workers, employers, and providers while developing strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured learning journey, building foundational knowledge while contributing to a positive customer experience and overall business performance.
• Review medical and supporting documentation, including complex surgical requests, to make informed, evidence-based decisions in line with legislative and policy requirements.
• Analyse surgical procedures and medical treatment plans, identifying gaps or requesting additional clinical information where required.
• Engage with workers, employers, treatment providers and key stakeholders to support injury recovery and return-to-work outcomes.
• Proactively identify, report and escalate any emerging or potential risks to management in a timely manner.
