Job summary

Suncorp Group is seeking a Claims Manager to lead our property claims portfolio on a six-month fixed-term, full-time basis. The role offers a 50-50 split between office-based work and remote work after an initial training period, with the first four weeks in the office to ensure readiness.

Based in Australia, you will be the primary contact for customers experiencing loss, manage cases, coordinate with assessors and vendors, and ensure policy entitlements are explained clearly.

• Excellent verbal communication skills - listen, build rapport, communicate complex issues.
• Proficient computer skills including professional email writing and data accuracy.

• To be resilient and have an ability to positively manage difficult situations.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary point of contact for customers who have experienced loss or damage to their property, and pro-actively provide progress updates as to claim progression
• Provide case management; maintain a portfolio of new and existing home claims
• Cost management through liaising with assessors and external vendors
• Advise customers of their policy entitlements and explain the claims and repair processes as required
• Meeting Key Results metrics, which are in line with overall business objectives
• Have quality conversations with our customers to explain the claims process, claim outcomes and offer support throughout the claim life.

Are you ready to embark on an exciting career journey with one of the industry leaders in insurance? We're looking for a Claims Manager to join our dynamic team on a six-month fixed-term, full-time contract, based in one of our offices in Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, Newcastle, Sydney or Brisbane.

Start date of this role is 12 October 2026. The role offers flexible working arrangements with a 50-50 split between office based & work from home. You will be required to work full-time in the office for the first 4 weeks while you are in training to ensure you are set up for success.
