Job summary

Suncorp Group is seeking a Claims Manager for a six-month fixed-term, full-time contract. Based in Melbourne with a hybrid work model, you’ll split your time between the office and home, after an initial training period in the office.

You will lead claim operations, manage a portfolio of home claims, coordinate with assessors and vendors, and deliver service excellence while meeting key performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary contact for customers with property loss or damage.

• Engage with customers with quality, supportive conversations throughout the claim life.

  Are you ready to embark on an exciting career journey with one of the industry leaders in insurance? We're looking for a Claims Manager to join our dynamic team on a six-month fixed-term, full-time contract, based in one of our offices in Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, Newcastle, Sydney or Brisbane.

  Start date of this role is 12 October 2026. The role offers flexible working arrangements with a 50-50 split between office based & work from home. You will be required to work full-time in the office for the first 4 weeks while you are in training to ensure you are set up for success.

What you’ll do

• Be the primary point of contact for customers who have experienced loss or damage to their property, and pro-actively provide progress updates as to claim progression
  
• Provide case management; maintain a portfolio of new and existing home claims
  
• Cost management through liaising with assessors and external vendors
  
• Advise customers of their policy entitlements and explain the claims and repair processes as required
  
• Meeting Key Results metrics, which are in line with overall business objectives
  
• Have quality conversations with our customers to explain the claims process, claim outcomes and offer support throughout the claim life.
