Job summary

Suncorp Group in Adelaide invites a Claims Manager for Home Claims on a six-month fixed-term, full-time contract. The role is available with a 50-50 office and work-from-home arrangement and requires training in the office for the first four weeks.

Start date 12 October 2026, with offices in Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, Newcastle, Sydney or Brisbane. You will lead claim management for home claims, liaise with assessors, advise policy entitlements, and support customers through the claims

Responsibilities

• Be the primary point of contact for customers with property loss or damage; provide proactive claim progression updates.
• Provide case management; maintain a portfolio of new and existing home claims.
• Manage costs by liaising with assessors and external vendors.
• Advise customers on policy entitlements and explain claims and repair processes.
• Meet Key Results metrics aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure quality conversations that explain the claims process and outcomes and offer ongoing support.

Are you ready to embark on an exciting career journey with one of the industry leaders in insurance? We’re looking for a Claims Manager to join our dynamic team on a six-month fixed-term, full-time contract, based in one of our offices in Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, Newcastle, Sydney or Brisbane.

Start date of this role is 12 October 2026.

The role offers flexible working arrangements with a 50-50 split between office based & work from home. You will be required to work full-time in the office for the first 4 weeks while you are in training to ensure you are set up for success.

What you’ll do

• Be the primary point of contact for customers who have experienced loss or damage to their property, and pro-actively provide progress updates as to claim progression
• Provide case management; maintain a portfolio of new and existing home claims
• Cost management through liaising with assessors and external vendors
• Advise customers of their policy entitlements and explain the claims and repair processes as required
• Meeting Key Results metrics, which are in line with overall business objectives
• Have quality conversations with our customers to explain the claims process, claim outcomes and offer support throughout the claim life.

As these roles require the ability to work from home you will need: An ergonomic set up, a phone line (landline), internet connection, a computer/laptop, dual monitors, a webcam, a mouse, and a quiet area where you will not be disturbed during work hours. If you do not have all these already you will need to have them by your first day.
