Job summary

Pacific Life Re seeks a Claims Automation Developer to support automated claims solutions in Australia and collaborate across Underwriting & Claims Solutions. You will translate claims requirements into practical rules and work with partners to implement governance and training.

The role requires life insurance experience in Australia, analytical ability, and advanced Excel or coding skills. You will engage clients, contribute to market strategy, and help deliver value across PL Re’s reinsurance

Qualifications

Certificate IV in Life Insurance is required.
Experience in a life and disability claims environment in Australia is essential.
Familiarity with Australian life insurance products, claims practices and regulatory requirements (LICOP).
Advanced Excel skills (macros) or coding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Automation projects: support implementation of automated claims solutions in ANZ.
Rule development: translate claims requirements into rules and review rules.
Client strategy: collaborate with Analytics, UnderwriteMe, Pricing to develop claims solutions.
Client engagement: support training and knowledge transfer across PL Re solutions.
