Job summary

Pacific Life Re Limited in Sydney seeks a Claims Automation Developer to support automation projects within the Underwriting & Claims Solutions team in Australia. You will work with stakeholders to implement automated claims solutions and contribute to client-facing initiatives.

The role requires experience in life and disability claims in Australia, strong analytical skills, and advanced Excel or coding experience. Knowledge of LICOP and Australian regulatory requirements is a plus.

Qualifications

Certificate IV in Life Insurance (or equivalent); degree-qualified preferred.
Proven experience in a life and disability claims environment in Australian insurance or reinsurance.
Strong knowledge of Australian life insurance products, claims practices and regulatory requirements (LICOP).
Advanced Excel skills (macros, complex reporting) or coding/programming experience.
High proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Automation projects: support implementations of automated claims solutions with PL Re and client teams.
Contribute across key phases of delivery, including requirements gathering, workshops, testing and implementation readiness.
Document rule decisions, assumptions and learnings to support governance and client transitions.
