Job summary

A NSW Government organisation is seeking an experienced Claims Advisor with strong Workers’ Compensation expertise to join on a contract basis. The role supports workers’ compensation claims within a self-insurance environment, with a work-from-home arrangement and an office in Burwood near public transport.

Immediate start through to 20 November 2026 with potential extension opportunities. You will manage claims, provide best practice case management, and engage stakeholders within the Injury

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience managing end-to-end Workers’ Compensation claims, ideally within a self-insurance environment.
• Demonstrated Workers’ Compensation and injury management experience in large, complex organisations.
• SIMS experience highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage key stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Manage Workers’ Compensation claims in line with NSW legislation, SIRA and iCare requirements
• Provide best practice case management and sound claims advice to support effective outcomes
• Manage stakeholder relationships and deliver high-quality customer service
• Assess, resolve and respond to claims enquiries in a timely manner
• Collaborate within the Injury and Claims Management team to support continuous improvement and efficient claims management

During this Workers’ Compensation Claims contract, your responsibilities will include:
