Job summary

Thiess in North West Queensland is seeking a Civil Supervisor to lead day-to-day site activities at the Eva Copper Mine Project. Reporting to the Civil Superintendent, you will drive safety, productivity and quality on site.

The role requires a minimum of five years in a supervisory role, experience with crushing operations is desirable, and valid Australian Driver’s Licence and White Card. Ongoing training and competitive salary packages are on offer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar supervisory role

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the day-to-day activities of the workforce to achieve operational and production targets
• Ensure all work is undertaken in strict accordance with project and contract Health, Safety and Environmental Management Plans, statutory requirements, company policies, and industry quality standards
• Effectively manage the procurement and allocation of plant, equipment, materials, and resources to support operational requirements
• Verify that personnel are appropriately trained, competent, and authorised to perform allocated tasks, ensuring additional training or reassignment is undertaken where required
• Conduct and facilitate risk assessments, including Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), prior to the commencement of work and review them regularly for ongoing activities
• Drive a strong safety culture through visible leadership, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives
