Job summary

Fluor in Perth is seeking a Civil Supervisor - Concrete for a site-based role within our Port Program. You will oversee earthworks crews, monitor daily activity, ensure safety and quality, and report progress to the Civil Superintendent on a large-scale project.

The role requires proven civil supervision experience in bulk earthworks, concrete, and underground services, with strong leadership and communication skills to liaison with stakeholders and mine operations.

Qualifications

• Solid and validated experience within an EPCM environment as a Civil Supervisor.
• Industry experience focusing on bulk earthworks, concrete and underground services on major civil projects.
• Demonstrated ability in coordinating and planning major civil projects with tier 1/2 civil contractors.
• Excellent people management and leadership skills.
• Strong written skills and competency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Professional presentation and ability to represent the project at a high standard with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contractors' daily works, conduct inspections, provide daily progress reporting and site leadership.
• Input/review construction planning and progress claims.
• Assist in interactions with mine operations.
• Ensure all site systems, processes, procedures and safe work practices are used by all personnel.
• Provide leadership and promote safety culture per HSE management system.

Our Client's Mining & Metals team are looking for a civil supervisor for various earthworks roles at Fluor's Port Program.

The project has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Civil Supervisor to work as part of the Integrated Project Team. This will be a site based role with an attractive roster and the opportunity to join an exciting, large scale project in its early stages.

Reporting to the Civil Superintendent you will be responsible for:

• Monitoring of the contractors daily works, including visits of inspection, daily progress reporting and field leadership activities.
• Input/ review to construction planning and progress claims.
• Assist in interactions with mine operations.
• Ensure all site systems, processes, procedures and safe work practices are utilised by all personnel.
• Provide leadership and promote the safety culture and ownership in accordance with the HSE management system.

To be successful in this position you must have:

• Solid and validated experience within an EPCM environment as a Civil Supervisor.
• Industry experience focusing on bulk earthworks, concrete and underground services on major civil projects.
• Demonstrated ability in coordinating and planning major civil projects, with tier 1 / 2 civil contractors.
• Experience in a similar position in the Pilbara.
• Excellent people management and leadership skills.
• Strong written skills and competency with Microsoft Office Suite. (Word, Excel etc.)
• Professional presentation and ability to represent the project at a high standard when interfacing with stakeholders.
• Demonstrated knowledge of workplace safety implementation and activities.
• Ability to make decisions based on identifying and understanding issues, problems and opportunities.
• Ability to delegate and take responsibility to ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently and maximises project and individuals’ effectiveness.
• Knowledge of systems, situations, pressures, and culture inside the project to have the ability to identify the potential problems and opportunities.
