Job summary

Whitehaven Coal invites applications for a Project Manager - Civil Projects at Blackwater Mine. You will lead end-to-end civil infrastructure and capital works delivery, collaborate with operations, engineering teams and contractors, and drive safety, quality and on-time delivery in a premier mining setting.

You will manage scopes, budgets and schedules, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and report progress to senior leadership while upholding Whitehaven Coal’s STRIVE values and safety

Qualifications

• Experience managing civil construction or infrastructure projects from concept through to completion.
• Strong understanding of earthworks, roads, drainage and industrial infrastructure.
• Experience in mining, resources or heavy industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, development and execution of civil infrastructure and capital works.
• Develop scopes, budgets, schedules and procurement strategies.
• Manage risks, opportunities and stakeholder expectations.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
• Oversee construction to meet technical and quality standards.
• Ensure safety, environmental and governance compliance.
• Monitor progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare reports and updates for senior leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement and delivery excellence.
